Test a Custom GPT Before Team Rollout

Run a fixed test set, score factual accuracy, refusal when evidence is missing, correct escalation, and output format. Retest after instruction or source changes.

What to provide

Ten normal examples, five edge cases, expected answers, and a named workflow owner.

Starting prompt

For each test case, compare the GPT response with the expected answer. Record source support, missed exceptions, and whether a human would need to correct it before use.

Trial case

Run a normal request, a missing-data request, and a request outside the GPT's scope. Approval requires a correct result, a visible uncertainty, and a safe refusal or handoff respectively.

Review gate

The owner approves deployment only when critical errors are resolved and staff know how to report failures.

How to score the result

Critical error count and percentage of outputs accepted after human review.

Use the current approved source and keep it available to the reviewer. Check a small set of finished outputs against the previous process before adopting this workflow.
